Mike Snyder

A graduate of Wilson High School (1977), Mike has compiled an outstanding record as a swimmer and a coach. He was the swim team captain and was named to the Central Penn All-League team four years. He was a three-time Pennsylvania All-State team selection (1975-77). Mike was a District III champion and an All-American in the 100 Butterfly. He was also an All-American in water polo. At Penn State University, he was a four-year letterman and became the swim team captain. PSU’s top swimmer (1980 & 1981), he holds PSU records in four events and is the Penn State scoring leader. Mike was also a four-year starter in water polo, where he was selected All-East for three years. He coached the PSU water polo team for two years. In recognition for his outstanding record, Mike was inducted into the Wilson High School Sports Hall of Fame and the Berks Aquatic Hall of Fame (2000).
