An All-County center while playing for Muhlenberg High School and was a three- year starter at Moravian College. He capped his college career by being named an All-Middle Atlantic Conference All-League player for three years. He is the head football coach at Governor Mifflin High School with a 16-year grid record of 108-88. He was the Berks County Coach of the Year (1996). His teams were co-champs of the Inter-County League for three seasons (2004, 2006 & 2008). Prior to becoming the head coach at Mifflin, he served as an assistant coach under Ray Linn, Jack Paris, Mark Snyder and Joe Shoopack. Using the skills he honed as an All-Berks County catcher, he served as an assistant baseball coach under Mike Kostzewa for ten years.
