All Around

A graduate of Wilson High School (1970) where he was an outstanding student athlete. He was a first team All-County and All-Tri-County selection for the Bulldogs (1969) at defensive end and was selected for the Big 33 team. The following season, the Wilson football team was undefeated. Rick was also a four-year swimmer at Wilson winning two District 3 titles, Wilson’s first State Championship in the 400 freestyle relay and was on the national Interscholastic All-American team (1970). He went on to attend Yale University, was a four year starter in football and was named to the All-Ivy League football team. He earned his J.D. from Dickinson School of Law and played semi-pro football in central Pennsylvania. Rick was a Partner at Stevens & Lee law firm and was appointed bankruptcy judge on February 14. 2006. He retired effective May 31, 2019. Rick has been inducted into the Berks County Football Coaches Hall of Fame.
