Paul Grube

One of the top athletes in Hamburg High School history. Upon graduating from Hamburg (1956), Paul had earned a total of 12 varsity letters in basketball, baseball and soccer for the Hawks. He was named the top senior athlete for the Hawks and was inducted into the Hamburg High School Hall of Fame (1996). Paul served in the United States Air Force (1956-60) and played basketball and baseball for the Donaldson and Misawa Air Force bases. The Misawa hoops team compiled a 40-4 record and Paul was the top scorer with 760 points (1960). After the service, he began a four-year career at East Stroudsburg University (1960) earning a total of eight varsity letters in soccer (4), basketball (2) and baseball (2). He was an All-American on the NAIA championship team and was named senior athlete MVP at East Stroudsburg (1964). Paul was inducted into the East Stroudsburg University Hall of Fame.
