Rick Moatz

The winningest coach in Berks Legion baseball history. Rick has been the coach of the Boyertown Legion baseball team for 22 seasons, compiling an overall record of 1,025-244. His best season record was 64-10 (1988). He has won 13 Berks Legion titles (1988- 90, 1992, 1994-95, 1998, 2000, 2003-05, 2008-09) and was runner-up three times. Under Moatz, the Bears have won 13 Region 2 titles and have been runner-up twice, 12 Pennsylvania state titles, three National Regional titles and made three Legion World Series appearances. The Boyertown Bears’ regular season league winning streak reached 49 games this past season (2009).
