Charlie Engle

Charlie Engle has been an outstanding softball pitcher for more than 60 years. The Hamburg resident pitched a no-hitter in 2010 at the age of 79. He has career totals of 13 perfect games and 18 no-hitters. He has pitched in more than 2,000 games and received 31 MVP awards. He has starred in fastpitch leagues in Reading, Hamburg and Blandon and led the Lancaster County-based Honey Brook Comets to county, district, state, regional and national American Softball Association titles in 1968 and 1969.
