Herman Fry

Herman won the Berks Amateur golf title in 1970 and 1971. He won three county public links titles and numerous club championships. He was successful in the Golf Association of Philadelphia winning the 1974 Philadelphia Amateur and the 1984 Patterson Cup. In 2010 the Golf Association of Philadelphia chose Fry as one of its first four “Legends”. The Reading Times selected him as one of the two – “top golfers of the 1970 decade” (the other was Betsy King).
