Paul Shuey

Paul coached boys and girls basketball at Daniel Boone for 29 years from 1976 to 1996. He was the varsity boys’ coach for five years and varsity girls’ coach for fifteen years. His girls’ teams won two county titles and two county runners-up and played in 13 PIAA District 3 playoff games, four state playoff games, and one state final game. Paul’s girls’ record was 295-98. During the 1990-91 season his girls won 33 straight games – a Berks record. He was Berks County Coach of the Year 10 times (8 for girls, 2 for boys). He was inducted into the Daniel Boone Sports Hall of Fame.
