Allison is a Wilson graduate where she played soccer and was a cheerleader. She did not take up short track speed skating until her junior year of high school. She graduated from Penn State with a B.A in marketing and management. She earned her MBA from the New York Institute of Technology. Allison is one of the world’s preeminent female short track speed skaters. She has represented the USA on 3 Winter Olympic teams (2002, 2006 and 2010) and in 2010 she earned her first Olympic medal at the Vancouver Winter Games. In 2005 she set a new American record in the 1,000 meters in China. She was honored by Sports Illustrated as “Most Studious Olympic Athlete”. She has earned more World Cup medals than any other female in U.S history. Allison retired in 2014 to pursue a career as an actress.
