Played basketball for Wilson HS and Alvernia University in the mid 1970’s. He was head coach at Reading Central Catholic High School for 22 years with a record of 620-146 (80.9%). He won a PIAA State title in 2007 and had 3 other PIAA final four teams. With the merger of Central and Holy Name he became head coach at Berks Catholic. On January 4, 2024, Snip won his 800 game as head coach for 22 seasons with Central Catholic and 13 seasons with Berks Catholic. During that time he has 32 winning seasons, 26 Division titles, 8 County titles, 14 District 3 titles, 4 trips to the PIAA championship game, and 1 state championship (2007).
