Soccer

Jerry was a four year soccer starter for Fleetwood HS. He was leading member of two state PIAA championship teams including a 32-0 record in 1980. He was a 3-time first team All-State and High School All-American in ’80. He had 93 career goals and 104 assists at Fleetwood. He was a four year starter at Penn State (1981-85) and received the Bill Jeffrey award as Penn State’s MVP. He was co-captain of the Nittany Lions. In 1984 he was named NCAA Regional All-American. He was a two-year starter for the USA East team in Colorado Springs and Baton Rouge. He played professionally for the Chicago Shoccers, Washington Diplomats, Philadelphia Freedom and Reading Rage. He served as men’s and women’s coach at Moravian College and an assistant at Syracuse University.
