Jason Patrick Stewart was the fastest miler in Berks County history with a 3:57.01 clocking for West Point (USMA) in 1994. He holds all Army records in the mile, 1,500, 3,000, and 5,000. Jason was a Division I NCAA All-American. In 1990 he was PIAA state mile champion for Conrad Weiser HS. He holds the Berks record in the 1,600. Also was District 3 champ in 800, 1600, 3200 and also in cross-country. Jason was an alternate on USA Olympic teams in 1996 and 2000. He was a member of USA National team that won 3 World XC championships. Jason was inducted into the Conrad Weiser Sports Hall of Fame in 2003 and the Army West Point Sports Hall of Fame in 2017. He retired as an Army Major and at the time of induction residing in the Phoenixville area.
