Mike Gyomber

As of his induction, as the boys (25 years) and the girls (8 years) tennis coach, Mike has coached the Wyomissing tennis teams to seven PIAA state team championships (5 boys, 2 girls). His teams have won 12 boys and 3 girls PIAA District 3 team titles and 16 boys and 3 girls BCIAA County crowns. His overall record with the boys is 432-53 and the girls is 143-9. Since 2000 his boys squad has won 224 of 225 regular season matches and they have been in the finals of the state championships for the past 7 years (2009-2015) which is a state PIAA record. Between boys and girls his teams have had 11 undefeated seasons. In his 8 seasons with the girls they were 111-1 in County competition and his teams have produced 2 singles state champs and 3 doubles PIAA winners. As of August, 2025 Mike is still the boys and girls tennis coach at Wyomissing. Mike was an outstanding lineman for John Gurski’s Wilson Bulldogs in the 1970s
