Grant Krow

Standout basketball player and track athlete at West Reading High starting on the 1959 state championship basketball team and winner of many high and long jump titles. At Albright College Grant was a 5 time MAC champion in the high jump and long jump and setting three Albright records (high jump- 6’6”, long jump 23’1” and triple jump 49’5”). Grant was the NCAA College Division high jump champion in 1963. In 1964 he was named as Berks County Outstanding Athlete He had successful senior and master’s track record with top marks of 6’9” in the high jump at the Inquirer games 24’4 ½” in the long jump at the MA Championships ’64 and 50’1 1/2” in the triple jump in the ’67 MA AAU Meet. He continued in Masters track through 1989 winning many state and national titles. Grant was a professor of chemistry at Temple University and published over 60 scientific papers.
