Wilson High School graduate (1970) who was a standout in football, wrestling and track. Received full scholarship to play football at Arizona State, where he was a starting offensive tackle and all-conference academic selection. President of the Arizona Interscholastic Athletic Association and member of the Governor’s Commission of Character Education. Twin brother of former Wilson football coach Gerry Slemmer.
