Dr. Tom Bell is one of only 113 people in the world to have completed the Triple Crown of ultramarathon swimming: the Catalina Channel Swim in 2013 (20.2 miles), the English Channel Crossing in 2014 (21 miles) and the Swim around Manhattan Island in 2015 (28.5 miles). He has successfully competed in Olympic distance triathlons and open water swims worldwide. In 2016 Dr. Bell was inducted into the Berks County Aquatic Hall of Fame. He is a Wyomissing resident.
