Soccer

Tony was a four-year, three-sport athlete at Fleetwood, where he excelled in soccer. He was named to the All-PSAC soccer team three times while at Kutztown University and a Division II All American in 1976. Tony was selected by KU as one of the school’s top 30 athletes of the 20th century. He went on to spend 24 years as a coach in the Fleetwood soccer program, including 11 as head coach. Tony’s teams won three Berks County, one District 3 and one PIAA state championship. He was named Pennsylvania Soccer Coach of the Year in 1997 and has been inducted into the Fleetwood High School and Kutztown University Halls of Fame. He also served as a coach for 11 seasons with the Reading Rage.
