Abe Goodman

Outstanding athlete at Reading High School, where he played basketball, baseball, and soccer. In prep school and at Muhlenberg College, he was captain of the basketball team. He played basketball for ten year city champions, the Migdals. Abe was a basketball referee for more than 30 years. He served as president of the I.A.A.B.O officials for 11 years and was president of the P.I.A.A. basketball officials for six years. Goodman served as president of C.B.O.A., the largest officials group in the world and also served as an evaluator of officiating talent for the Collegiate Basketball Officials’ Association.
