Born in Struthers, Ohio, Jimmy was a four-sport athlete at Perth Amboy High School, NJ, in baseball, football, basketball and track. He competed in the same sports during his college years at Albright College and East Stroudsburg University, earning Eastern Conference honors. “Goose” earned his bachelor’s degree from East Stroudsburg. After competing in the semi-pro baseball and basketball ranks, Oslislo turned to an officiating career, which lasted for 30 years. He was an arbiter in basketball, track and softball. A former director of the Catholic Youth Organization’s basketball program, Jimmy also served as president and treasurer of both Berks football and basketball officials and was a rules interpreter for the International Association of Affirmed Basketball Officials, the largest officiating organization in the world.
