Kutztown High School graduate. Led Cougars to Berks Hoop titles in 1932-33 and 1934-35. Top scorer in Berks County three years. Three-year starter at Kutztown State Teachers College. Was State scoring champ. Led Avalanche to State title in 1935-36. Played pro-football for the Chicago Bears and Cleveland Browns. Played for Honey Russell at Hamburg in Tri-County League. Played for Wilkes-Barre, Trenton and Harrisburg in Eastern Pro League. Played in Philadelphia Phillies farm system. Basketball official for twenty-five years. One of the top dog breeders and trainers in America. At the time of induction he lived in New Bloomfield, PA.
