Kathy was an outstanding bowler from Mohnton, PA. Member of the Women’s Professional Tour (1976-79). Runner-up in Denver (1976). Won the Great Lakes Invitational in Minneapolis (1974). Won seven WASA (Women’s All Start Association) titles over the years. Her achievements include five sanctioned “300 games” and a High series of 787 and a High league average of 221. Has a 200 average since moving to Reading in 1988. Her 221 average was the highest average for women in Eastern U.S.A. in 1992. Won the Pennsylvania All-Events title in state tournament (1987) and the Pennsylvania Class A title (1988). Inducted into the Women’s Bowling Hall of Fame (1990-91). Bowled a “300 game” at the Tournament of Champions at the Showboat in Atlantic City. Berks County Ladies Amateur Champion (1990-91). Berks County Ladies Open Champion (1986-87). Won the Marv Doermann title at Colonial Hills in 1993 vs. an all-male field of bowlers from York, Lancaster, and surrounding areas. Won the First Annual Ladies Classic/Colony Park Lanes Tournament (1994). Named MVP in women’s sports (1973-75) at Siena College in Michigan for volleyball, basketball and tennis. Played softball for a number of years in Jackson, Michigan. A 12-handicap golfer, has won several league tournaments. Member of winning foursome (1994) in YMCA Corporate Physical Fitness Challenge (Berks County Office of Aging).
