Recognized as one of the top girls’ high school basketball players in Berks County history and is the all-time leading scorer in the county with 2,504 points. She was named Berks County Female Athlete of the Year twice and earned All-County basketball honors at Daniel Boone High School for four consecutive years, including 1st Team All-State and PIAA Honorable Mention All-State recognition. In addition to basketball, she was All-County in field hockey for one year and softball for two years. Davis continued her athletic career at the University of Connecticut, a Division I program, where she was a three-year starter on the basketball team. During her tenure, UConn captured three Big East championships, reached the NCAA Final Four, and participated in the NCAA tournament all four years. She also competed with the Allentown Crestettes in the AAU National Tournament, finishing third. Academically distinguished, she earned Academic All-American honors. After her playing career, Davis coached at Daniel Boone High School as an assistant for two years and at UConn for one year. She was the head basketball coach at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut and is currently the head coach of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ). Wendy was inducted into the New England Sports Hall of Fame in 2009.
