Recognized as the dean of high school basketball coaches in Berks County. He coached at Holy Name High School for 40 seasons, achieving six 20-win seasons and winning a state title in 1969–70 with a 27–2 record. His best season came in 1986–87, finishing 28–5. Wolf also led teams to the 1997 Berks County Championship and the 1998 and 1999 District III Class A titles. Over his career, he amassed 626 wins at Holy Name and was named Berks Coach of the Year ten times. He coached three NCAA Division III All-Americans and conducted summer training camps spanning three decades. Wolf also served as President of the Berks County Coaches Roundtable, coached at Lansdale Catholic with Jim Lynam, and was Athletic Director at Holy Name for 25 years. In addition to his coaching career, he was Director of Development and a social science teacher. An outstanding player himself, Wolf starred at St. Edward’s High School in Cleveland, attended Wheeling Jesuit College in West Virginia, and earned a master’s degree from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary.
