Has been involved in professional baseball for 26 years (21 of those have been as the general manager of the Reading Phillies). He was named Minor League Executive of the Year three times by the Sporting News and was also named Eastern League Executive of the Year three times. He was the Pioneer League Executive of the Year while working for the Idaho Falls Braves. Winner of the Larry MacPhail Promotional Trophy, which is presented to the top promoter in minor league baseball, two times. He was named as the Community Leader of the Year by the Arthritis Foundation and the Reading Phillies organization was named the Small Business of the Year by the Berks County Chamber of Commerce (2003). Established Baseballtown Charities and broke ground on Gordon Hoodak Stadium, a downtown youth stadium, at Lauer’s Park (2005). Honored with the Extra Innings Award, presented at the Minor League Baseball Promotional Seminar to the team that demonstrates excellence in community service, for the opening of Gordon Hoodak Stadium at Lauer’s Park (2006). Chuck was named President of both the Reading Phillies (AA) and the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (AAA) minor league franchises (2006). Presented with the Champion of Youth Award by the Olivet Boys and Girls Club (2007) and was inducted into the Berks County Business Hall of Fame (2008). As a result of his promotional efforts, the Reading Phillies annually break attendance records and he has been rewarded by being named Executive of the Year by the Middle Atlantic Major League Baseball Scout Association four times. He oversaw the inaugural season for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (2008). Chuck was an outstanding athlete in Pittsburgh, PA and is a graduate of Biscayne College in Florida.
