One of the pioneers of scholastic wrestling in Berks County. “Skip” taught at Schuylkill Valley for 30 years, coached for 23 years and later became an administrator in the school district. He led the Panthers to one Berks team title and two District III team titles. He wrestled at Kingston High School for four years and was an outstanding wrestler at Millersville University. Inducted into the Berks County and District III wrestling coaches Halls of Fame. He was the president of the Berks County Wrestling Coaches Association, the assistant director of the District III Wrestling Tournament and the president of the Pennsylvania State Wrestling Coaches Association for three years. State champion Steve Horst was one of his protegés.
