Jack McCloskey

A star basketball player at Reading Central Catholic High School and Kutztown University. Jack coached for 33 years at North Schuylkill High School and Boyertown High School, compiling an overall record of 250-132 while capturing two North Schuylkill League titles
at North Schuylkill High and a Chesmont title at Boyertown. During his coaching career at Alvernia University, he has become the winningest coach in Alvernia history, posting an overall record of 205-102 in ten seasons. A highlight year for the Crusaders was reaching the NCAA Division III Final Four (1996-97). His winning percentage in Division III basketball ranks him 13th in the nation. He has four seasons with 20-plus wins, five Conference finals and three consecutive Conference titles. Over the years, his Alvernia teams have played Division II colleges including: Gannon, Philadelphia Textile, Cheyney, Kutztown, West Chester, Millersville, Lock Haven, Mansfield and East Stroudsburg. They have been extremely competitive against these larger schools.
