Baseball

Frank played four years of varsity football and baseball at Reading Central Catholic High School. During his playing career at Central, the baseball team won three Suburban Philadelphia titles (1962-64). He became a four-year starter at Kutztown University, where he was instrumental in Kutztown winning the State Championship title (1966). He also played on the Gregg Post American Legion team that won two Legion titles (1964-65). In amateur baseball, he played for Mohnton, Newmanstown and the Lebanon Valley League titlist, Adamstown. Frank played softball for the World Champion Billiard AA team. He was inducted into the Kutztown University Sports Hall of Fame. He officiated for many years, including a state Legion title game and a Team USA-Canada Olympic game. He was the president of the BCIAA for ten years and was on the PIAA District I Board of Directors. In education, he served as principal at Mount Penn High School, where he previously served as the Mounts’ athletic director, principal at Kutztown High School and athletic director and activities director in the Pennridge School District.
