An outstanding football, basketball and baseball player at William Tennent High School. He was All-League in football while at William Tennent High. Bob went on to star in football at West Chester University. He earned three varsity letters and was named All-Conference at the fullback position while his team was winning three state titles. Those who knew Bob during his scholastic and collegiate playing days state that he had the tools to be a major league catcher if he had opted not to play football. He has been the head football coach at Wyomissing High School since 1987 and is the winningest football coach in Berks County history with an overall 200-56-1 record. His football teams have won 12 Inter-County League titles, five District III championships and the Eastern Conference title (2005). Bob has been named the Berks County Football Coach of the Year five times. In addition to his football coaching career, he was also the Wyomissing head baseball coach, posting 307 career wins (1979-2003). He has been inducted into the West Chester University Sports Hall of Fame.
