Field Hockey

An outstanding all-around athlete at Brandywine High School. Donna was a first team selection to the Berks County basketball, field hockey and softball teams, earning four varsity letters in each. She was an All-County selection in field hockey (1980 & 1981) and basketball (1982). She was captain and MVP in all three sports at Brandywine and received the Brandywine Player’s Player award during her senior year. She continued her athletic career at Kutztown University, where she was a four-year starter in field hockey and lacrosse. She was an All-PSAC selection in field hockey (1984 & 1985) and lacrosse (1985). She was selected as an All-Star Hockey Player by the Philadelphia Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for women. She has compiled an outstanding record as the varsity field hockey coach at Oley Valley High School from 1987 to the present. She has led the Lynx to a 370-76-28 record, including 14 division titles, ten Berks County titles, five District III titles and two state championship titles. Donna has been inducted into the Brandywine High School and Kutztown University Halls of Fame. Donna is a sixth grade teacher in the Oley Valley school district.
