Soccer

Fleetwood High School three sport athlete. He was a first team All-County selection in soccer and captain of the basketball team during his senior year. Mike played soccer at West Chester University for four years and was co-captain of the squad as a senior. He was the head soccer coach at Fleetwood for four years, at Wilson for 11 years and at Exeter for two years. In addition to the Wilson boys soccer team, he also coached the Wilson girls team (77-5-1) for three years. His squads at the three schools won a combined 4 District III titles and nine Berks County titles (six boys and three girls). His overall boys soccer record in 17 years was 305-103-15. He coached the Wilson boys soccer team to the PIAA state championship (1992). Mike has been a teacher at Octorara and Wilson Elementary schools. He was an assistant coach for the Philadelphia Freedom and has organized numerous soccer clinics. He is still active on the youth soccer scene.
